Allstate refuses to see the problem with the iPhone 5 even though I have shown them the comparison with my wife's iPhone 6. They just say there is a chip difference, I have supposedly have gone as fast as 124 miles an hour. They need to fix or tell everyone that their app does not work with iPhone 5. It may not "increase" your rates but you do not get any discounts.

The app does not record speed correctly on an iPhone 5. Driving 70 to 75 I have had it record anywhere from 85 to 124 miles an hour. It is incorrect at slower speeds. It records hard and severe braking wrong as well, I assume because the speed is wrong. If it is showing a faster speed then you are doing and you slow to zero than it would show faster braking. My wife has an iPhone 6 which shows speed and braking correctly when we ride together. You can compare the two side by side on Drivewise.

Uses a lot of data! Make sure savings for insurance is worth paying the overage of data! AT&T charges $15 for every 1 GB over. It also uses your battery up fast because it requires location service to be on all the time! I work midnight so I get hit high risk because I work after midnight and I drive a semi truck after midnight for the Post Office and it continues to run. My agent said thats OK they can track while I am driving for work because it just wants to track my driving habits!! Doesnt the insurance card/coverage follow the car? The company has DriveCam® and PeopleNet® were already getting tracked by the company, I dont need to be tracked by my personal insurance while at work! I like the old way where Allstate has a unit that plugs into your cars OBD 2 connector!

Between this app and the regular online version, Ive tried to log in a dozen times to see my rewards but theres always an "error".

I download Drivewise app but as soon as I go to sign in, it says to use Allstate Mobile app which has Drivewise link in it, but doesnt offer same features as the Drivewise app like the find my car feature they have been advertising.

App wont open and no support. Data/battery hog when it did work in the past.

Doesnt track my trips. Ive installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the app more times than I can count. Garbage. Why do I have to have this to get a discount on my insurance?

Initiates on approximately one-third of my trips, then actually records maybe one-fourth. Have to turn phone completely off to restart, then it MAY register the trip. Spoken to IT rep several times. Uninstalled, reinstalled, with no change. Sign up for it, get the initial 10% rebate, then turn it off.

I love this app. It tracks my speed & hard breaking! A few flaws, when your phone is below 20% charged, it wont track your "trip" & also you have to remember when to tell the app your a passenger in another car! Its a great app tho! Gives bonus points you can cash out towards a monthly bill or use on prize gifts. You can also delete trips too!

I have been using this app for a month and a half now. Let me start off explaining how to get started because that was the hardest part and the ONLY difficulty I have had which is not a problem with the app itself. My agent actually emailed me to follow up and ask if I wanted to sign up still which had to be done over the phone. I had been wondering why it wasnt recording my trips! After we finished everything started working and I started racking up the rewards. Glad I switched from my previous insurance they didnt offer anything like this.

Its not tracking my trips--

Needs some work!!! Get braking alert while using cruse control. Also if slowly stopping get braking alert.

So I set myself up after some issues and have been driving around town. I am only doing short trips so the speed is no issue and the points mount up. But most times I dont see the trips recorded, just the total points. I keep logging in and I am told I have no trips. But I have 41,000+ points so something is getting captured. Its a neat idea but poorly tested and glitchy.

**UPDATE** the app doesnt even stay open for more than 10 seconds now. After the last couple updates its just gotten worse. This is ridiculous. I cant delete drives that werent me, I cant even say "ignore trip". _______________________________ I havent had the problems that others are listing, like battery or bogus hard breaking. My issue is that it keeps deleting large chunks of my drive history and that under "my rewards" literally no link works. You shouldnt have a link there if it is not active. There is a lot of room for improvement in this app, I look forward to updates. **Also, you need to train your agents better on this because our "liaison" literally knows nothing about how DriveWise works or why its not showing up on our account. Its frustrating getting transferred to someone else who doesnt know whats going on.**

Tried it for 6 months and earned a 5% discount on ins renewal premium. Thats about $2 per month for me. Versus the cost of phone battery drain, maddening false "hard braking" alerts and the nagging "Eye Of Sauron" sense of being watched all the time, its not worth it. Deleted the app today.

This is ridiculous. The app doesnt even work.

Used so much of my battery life I got sick of it and deleted it off my phone.

I drive 30 miles to work every single day, and this app doesnt register it at all. Ive had the app for two months, and according to this app, I dont drive anywhere. Ever. RIDICULOUSLY low quality and functionality.

Have used this app for 5 months. Keep the alerts ON and it sometimes issues completely bogus Hard Braking warnings. I have gotten HB when literally rolling to a stop sign with the brakes barely applied. If the 42000 points accumulated so far dont yield a significant discount at renewal next month, Ill delete this app and use the memory space and battery life for something less irritating.
